Client Overview
As a trusted subcontractor to DAI, CULTIVA Global Solutions was engaged to support the Prosper Africa initiative—a U.S. Government effort aimed at strengthening two-way trade and investment between African nations and the United States. The initiative focuses on creating economic opportunity, advancing shared prosperity, and deepening commercial ties across the continent.
The Challenge
Despite its ambitious goals, Prosper Africa faced hurdles in mobilizing investments and forming sustainable trade partnerships. A key challenge was the limited on-the-ground engagement in target African markets, which restricted both deal flow and relationship-building between U.S. and African stakeholders. To address this, CULTIVA was tasked with improving outreach and streamlining the path to investment and trade opportunities.
CULTIVA’s Solution
CULTIVA deployed a team of trade facilitation experts with deep knowledge of international markets and public-private partnerships. Our support included:
Comprehensive Market Analysis – We identified high-potential sectors and countries aligned with U.S. investor interests.
Stakeholder Engagement – CULTIVA designed and facilitated listening sessions to surface market needs, build trust, and match U.S. businesses with African partners.
Workshops and Capacity Building – Our team organized and led collaborative sessions to educate and connect stakeholders, aligning efforts with the overarching Prosper Africa strategy.
On-the-Ground Support – We provided localized insights and operational support to help reduce barriers and drive tangible outcomes.
CULTIVA’s strategic involvement helped close the gap between market opportunity and actionable engagement, ensuring the initiative could scale its ambitions.
Impact and Results
The results of the Prosper Africa initiative were remarkable—and CULTIVA’s contributions played a critical role:
Enabled the U.S. Government to facilitate 2,498 trade and investment deals
Reached 49 countries across Africa
Supported deals totaling an estimated $120.3 billion in value
By helping bridge U.S. businesses with African markets, CULTIVA directly advanced economic diplomacy, empowered entrepreneurs, and expanded commercial partnerships on both sides of the Atlantic.
